The Commission on Elections has opened its offices nationwide to allow prospective candidates in the 2010 elections to file their certificates of candidacy.
Candidates for president, vice-president, senators, congressmen, governors, vice-governors and provincial board members, mayors and councilors may file their candidacy at COMELEC offices from November 20 to midnight of December 1.
In Lucban, incumbent Mayor Moises "Bonbon" Villaseñor and members of the Sangguniang Bayan started the day by hearing the morning mass at the Catholic Church. Accompanied by families, relatives, friends and supporters, they proceeded to the municipal building and waited for the COMELEC office to open at 8 am before they filed their Certificates of Candidacy.
